Our junior, senior and masters rowers make Ballarat City Rowing Club the vibrant and competitive club we are today. We welcome new members whether complete beginners or national level athletes.

Rowing at Ballarat City

Our rowers have competed throughout Victoria and interstate during the past season.

We cater for school, club and masters rowers striving to achieve their rowing goals with our members winning medals at the State Championships, State Masters Championships and National Masters Championships in recent years.

We train throughout the week on the water and mix this with land training including ergos and in the club gym.

INVITATION - Talk by Ballarat City's Olympic Medallist Rachael Taylor

Sunday 27 September at 12noon,
Ballarat City Rowing Club

All rowers, coaches and friends of Ballarat City are invited to a 20 minute talk by Rachel Taylor, one of Ballarat City’s three Olympians, on Sunday 27 September at 12noon at the boat shed.

Rachel began her rowing at Ballarat City before moving to the AIS in Canberra and rowing for Australia.

Rachel’s talk will cover her development as an athlete from first walking into Ballarat City to winning medals at the world championships and 2000 Olympic Games

Following the talk, two new boats will be christened - the “Rachael Taylor” and the Robert Lawrie to recognise the contribution they each made to the Club.
