A Proud History
Formed in 1870, Ballarat City Rowing Club is one of Australia's oldest rowing clubs. With success at the local, state, national and international level we have a proud competitive history .
On the Eastern shore of Lake Wendouree the Club has been a focus of rowing in Ballarat for over 140 years, including hosting rowing teams during the 1956 Olympic Rowing Regatta.
Ballarat City Today
Our rowers have competed throughout Victoria and interstate and at regattas in New Zealand and the UK.
Ballarat City caters for school, club and masters rowers all striving to achieve their rowing goals. Our members have won medals at State Championships, State Masters Championships and National Masters Championships.
We train throughout the week both on and off the water with land training including Concept II rowing machines and strength training in the club gym.
