School sculling program
Introduction to sculling - 19 & 26 April, 2015
What is Learn to Scull?
This program is designed as an intensive introduction to sculling for rowers who have prior experience of sweep rowing or limited experience in a sculling boat. The program is designed to teach the correct technique for sculling in single, double or quad sculls and maneuvering the boat both on and off the water.
Participants should be a minimum of 14 years old, able to swim at least 200 metres and be of good general health. Sculling requires that you have good strength to be able to lift a sculling boat in and out of the water and need to be able to turn their heads to look behind them.
There is no cost for this Level 1 Introduction course.
Participants who wish to continue sculling after the course may choose to complete a Level 2 Introduction to sculling course or apply for membership with Ballarat City Rowing Club.
