Winter rowing for school-aged rowers
Ballarat City Rowing Club is offering six weeks of supervised sessions for school-aged rowers. The program is designed to develop technique for sculling in single, double and quad sculls, to increase rowing fitness and to provide opportunities to row in an eight to maintain and develop sweep rowing technique.
Participants should be a minimum of 14 years old, able to swim at least 50 metres and be of good general health. Sculling requires that you have good strength to be able to lift a sculling boat in and out of the water and be able to turn your head to look behind.
The coaching staff are Ballarat City Rowing Club members who are qualified Rowing Australia coaches assisted by senior members of the club.
All coaches have a current Working With Children Check and Ballarat City Rowing Club operates under a Child Safe Policy.
