Ballarat City Rowing Club is committed to supporting people associated with our club to make and resolve any complaints they may have in a fair, timely and effective way at club level. Complaints can be directed to the Club President, Member Protection Information Officer or Complaints Officer.

To ensure fairness for everyone involved, we will provide details of the complaint to the person or people against whom the complaint has been made and ask for their response. As a result, it may be difficult for us to resolve complaints made anonymously however we endeavour to deal with complaints in a professional manner and on a confidential basis.

Our club is also bound to Rowing Australia’s National Integrity Framework where complaints can also be lodged.

Below is an outline on how complaints are handled at club-level.

Individuals and organisations can also make complaints to external organisations under anti-discrimination, child protection and other relevant laws. All complaints made under this Policy must proceed in line with the complaints procedure as outlined by the Australian Sports Commission’s ‘Play by the Rules’ website – http://www.playbytherules.net.au/
